Standby Pump Control
The standby pump control system starts the standby pump automatically when the running pump trips or the line pressure drops.

Scope of service
Standby Pump Control service
We provide installation, PLC programming, modernisation and troubleshooting for the standby control systems of main engine and auxiliary pumps in the engine room (sea water and fresh water cooling, lube oil, fuel supply, hydrophore).
The standby pump control system starts the standby pump automatically when the running pump trips or the line pressure drops. After a blackout, the pumps are restarted in a defined order once power returns (sequential restart). Working together with the group starters in the main switchboard, the uninterrupted operation of this system is vital for the cooling and lubrication safety of the main engine.
Supported Brands
Siemens, Terasaki and many other main switchboard manufacturers' group starter panels.
Years of technical expertise and our ability to respond quickly in the field are what make us the preferred choice.
What we do
- Replacement of failed standby PLCs or PLCs with lost programs (e.g. Siemens S7-200) with S7-1200
- Rewriting the automatic standby start logic in TIA Portal
- Programming of sequential restart after blackout
- Testing and calibration of pressure switch and trip signals
- Integration with existing group starter panels; fronts, ammeters and lamps are kept
- Standby changeover tests and commissioning on board
- Function test and preparation before class survey
